Opening of the Temporary Exhibition in POLIN

On May 16th, 2024, Lost Shtetl Museum, along with donors, dignitaries, diplomats, and Jewish heritage experts from around the world, had the honor of participating in the opening of the temporary exhibition "(post)JEWISH... Shtetl Opatów Through the Eyes of Mayer Kirshenblatt" at the POLIN museum in Warsaw, Poland.

Jewish artists—writers, painters, and sculptors—have vividly captured the lost world of European Jewish shtetls in their works. The exhibition showcases the remarkable efforts of designers, historians, and the curatorial team.

This exhibition is a tribute not only to the legacy of Professor Barbara Kirshenblatt-Gimblett's father, Mayer Kirshenblatt, but also to the rich culture of Eastern European Jews.

Don't miss this must-see masterpiece of museum work! The exhibition is open until 16 December 2024.
