SCORING GOALS INTO THE IMAGINARY NET

We might argue about our failed Lithuania National stadium construction project, but the soccer players in Šeduva had bigger problems. Never mind shooting goals into imaginary goal posts, where should they practice during winter and in the rain? The head of a Jewish school came to the rescue, hosting the young Maccabees in one of the classrooms. For one day. A day which the principal complained about for years to come. "They managed to break the floor. There are holes there till now, there's no one to fix them." Moreover, they left their athletic equipment in the classroom and lessons couldn't be held there. Not to moralize, but they did it to themselves. After all, they had planned to come back...
