Lost Shtetl at the Fifth World Litvak Congress
The Fifth World Litvak Congress took place in Lithuania from May 23 to May 26, 2022. At the opening conference of the Congress at the Lithuanian parliament speakers gave presentation on Litvak history, education and fighting anti-Semitism. Senior exhibits curator for the Lost Shtetl Museum Milda Jakulytė-Vasil gave a presentation called "The Lost Shtetl Museum of the History of the Jews of Šeduva: History, Goals and Progress." We were glad to be able to share the progress of our project and our further plans with the wider audience.
The next day we led a tour for Congress participants of the Jewish sites and old cemetery in the town of Šeduva. We pointed out the Lost Shtetl Museum still under construction and of course invited participants to come back to Šeduva to visit the museum when it opens.
