On June 4-6th this year, the Lost Shtetl participated in the annual conference of European Jewish museums organized by the Association of European Jewish Museums (AEJM). This year, the participants gathered in Berlin.
The conference mainly discussed the situation of Jewish museums and cultural heritage during the war; experiences and narratives of Jewish museums and Muslim communities. Speakers also shared their achievements in museum collections and visitor research.
Representatives of European Jewish museums were invited to participate in idea fairs, creative workshops, and various excursions. The participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the permanent exhibition of the Berlin Jewish Museum and ANOHA - a newly opened educational space for the youngest museum visitors.
